Meet The Team

Dr Raghu completed his graduation in dental sciences in 2000 and pursued the postgraduate studies in Prosthodontics in 2003 in India. He was teaching in a dental school between 2003 and 2007 and also achieved DNB (Diplomat of National Board) in 2004 which proved his excellent knowledge of Prosthodontics. Dr Raghu has been practising general dentistry since 2001. He has completed the Australian Dental Council (ADC) exam for overseas dentists in 2007 and registered as a General dentist in Australia.

He is married to Vijaya Gowdar and has two adorable children. He started practising dentistry in Mackay from 2007 and is very well known around Mackay for his compassionate and friendly nature. Dr Raghu and his wife wanted to establish a dental practice that encompassed a professional but relaxed environment for their patients and staff.

Dr Raghu values the relationships that he builds with his patients and continually strives to provide safe, high quality and gentle treatment. He has helped many people to overcome their dental phobias and was nominated by one of his patients for the “Hesta Young Leader Award” in 2013.

Dr Raghu is trained in providing dental treatment under Inhalation Sedation (Happy gas) and General Anaesthesia at Mater Hospital. He is well versed with Cosmetic Dentistry, Crown and Bridge as well as Invisalign – a new clear aligner system to straighten teeth.

Dr Raghu has undergone extensive training in Dental Implants, Bone Grafting and Sinus Lift, Rotary Endodontics procedures. He regularly attends First-Aid training and Continuing Professional Development Education as well as actively participating in Prime Practice workshops.

In his free time, Dr Raghu does gardening, spends valuable time with his family and participates in community cultural activities.
